When it comes to what causes yeast infections, there is so much misinformation floating about that it is hard to know what to do when you suffer from the issue. Below is an explanation of what causes yeast infections and how you can sort it out.  First you must understand what is Candida and it’s role in the human body.

What is Candida?

Well Candida is totally natural.  It lives in your blood and acts like a safety device just in case you are unable to get rid of a ton of sugar that shouldn’t be in there.  What Candida is is a yeast that consumes sugar for food and as your blood is always full of it there is always Candida in there.

The Candida population grows when your blood sugar level increases because it feeds on the sugar and multiples.  But as the sugar levels come down so does the amount of Candida.  This is natural, you get no symptoms or uncomfortable side effects from it.   It is when you experience uncomfortable symptoms that you know something is wrong. So if it isn’t sugar what causes yeast infections?

When you eat a high-fat diet, this effects your blood.  Fat is hard to digest so remains in your blood for 24 hours or more.  If you eat a high-fat diet then your blood will be constantly and chonircally high in fat.  Fat acts like an oil slick and prevents sugar from passing through the blood to feed cells.  This sugar remains in the blood and must wait for the fat level of the blood to come before it can move.  HOWEVER having a high blood sugar level is dangerous so Candida, your life saving organism, helps by eating the sugar.  Unfortunately because Candida has to save you and bring down your sugar levels, your cells become starved and can no longer metabolize energy (cells feed off of sugar).  You become tired and you feel very rundown.

If you have a constantly high-fat diet then you will always have issues with sugar and Candida.  A yeast infection will be a symptom of this issue happening inside of you and is a warning sign that you need to do something.  You need to get rid of what causes yeast infections i.e. fat!

Unfortunately you won’t hear this advice but instead will be given lotions or pills to overcome symptoms of yeast infections.  This isn’t a good thing and will lead to recurring yeast infections (if not already).

So if you what to eliminate what causes yeast infections you need to…

The simple answer is to eat less fat (what causes Yeast Infections), not sugar! When you lower fat, sugar can be processed and yeast levels drop. So those suffering from yeast infection reduce your fat intake and see the results in a few days!
