A systemic yeast infection is a serious fungal/Candida overgrowth and can be dangerous. A systemic yeast infection occurs when Candida invades the bloodstream, liver and urinary tract. It can be extremely difficult to detect and can also be much more difficult to get rid of then just a simple yeast problem.
This type of infection can be varied as there are many different fungi that you can get form the environment, foods and also from the overgrowth of Candida. These fungi can release mycotocins into the body. Mycotoxins are toxic secondary metabolites of the fungi and they can affect different parts of the body that seem to be unrelated. Some people experience different symptoms. While one person may experience acne, another will get heart disease or arthritis. Mycotoxins can cause a number of different illnesses.
Some of the diseases a systemic yeast infection can cause:
- Arthritis
- Chronic fatigue syndrome
- Fibromyalgia
- Crohn’s disease
- Asthma
- Allergies
- Hives
- Psoriasis
- Depression
- Acne
- And many more..
Systemic Yeast Infection Causes
A systemic yeast infection occurs because our body has failed to keep Candida overgrowth under control. This can be for a number of reasons but one of the most common is a result of a high fat diet. A high fat diet can cause a high sugar envirnment in the blood and intenstines that the Candida has to continuously try to break down in order to keep sugar levels at a safe level in the body. As a result Candida remains in a high number, as it multiplies while eating away at the sugar that cannot pass through the bloodstream as a result of fat.
When a yeast infection has been present for an extended time, it may take just a little knock for it to become invasive and start attacking other parts of the body. Little knocks that could push your yeast infection overboard could be antibiotics, birth control pills, daily stress or the continuous consumption of unhealthy high fatty foods.
Systemic Yeast Infection Treatment
The best way to get relief from systemic yeast infection is to either go to the Doctor’s for medication or try herbal remedies. These only help relieve you from symptoms and do not treat the underlying cause as such. Many yeast infections start as a result of a high fat diet – this can be a great starting place to start resolving the issue. High fat diets also contribute to other conditions that systemic yeast infections can cause too so it is will worth upping your fruit and vegetable intake and lowering your fat intake.
