Do you wonder if you have a Candida or yeast infection and what the symptoms of yeast infection are?

Symptoms of yeast infection can be difficult to determine because there is a wide range of symptoms one can experience, not to mention the severity can also differ greatly from person to person.

Here some major symptoms you may experience if you are suffering from a yeast infection:

  • Irritation, burning and redness of the Vagina/Penis
  • Itching- this is a major candida symptom and can be one of the most frustrating.
  • Odor – Any unusual smell from your vagina/penis can be an indication of something unbalanced.
  • Vaginal sensitivity – this may be most obvious during intercourse or urination.

Other symptoms that are just as common:

  • Skin problems – eczema, psoriasis, acne.
  • Digestive problems – bloating, gas, cramps, episodes of diarrhea alternating with constipation.
  • Nervous system symptoms:
    • Depression
    • Mood Swings
    • Headaches
    • Insomnia
    • Irritability
    • Constant tiredness and exhaustion
  • Muscle aches, joint pain especially in hips, knees and hands.

As one can see there are a wide range of symptoms of yeast infection.  As a result many suffered can go months and even years without a proper diagnosis because people think they have another ongoing issue and try to treat that.

The truth is, Candida or yeast infections are extremely common – recurring yeast infections are even more so. Candida infection can be life threatening if left untreated

Many suffers also end up getting drug treatment, only to have the problem come back. Medication unfortunately only ‘cures’ the symptoms of a yeast infection and does not find the underlying cause. As a result, many sufferers turn to alternative methods and try to eradicate the underlying problems through their own research. This can be very effective when medication doesn’t work but many have followed incorrect advice and found a lot of conflicting information, leaving them feeling helpless.

I once upon a time had to deal with this and believe me it was frustrating and stressful. I eventually found some very sound advice and was able to completely eradicate myself of my (at the time) never-ending Candida problems. So natural treatments can work – even more so then conventional medication.

I for one have been through the ordeal of looking for a cure for this dreadful infection.
