Some women find that they experience their first yeast infection in pregnancy.

This can be quite distressing as treatment and relief from the yeast infection may seem much more difficult as one has to take into account their grg baby.

Whether there is a link between pregnancy and Candida and whether pregnancy can increase the chances of yeast infection is something that many have tried to answer. This article attempts to address the issues surrounding infection and pregnancy so one can get a better understanding and overcome their issue without having to result to treatment that could be potentially hazardous to their baby.

A yeast infection is characterized by thick vaginal discharge which is usually white with the appearance of cottage cheese. It can be very uncomfortable during sex and can also be fairly itchy. It is also becoming much more common in the Western world and is very much a Western issue. There are many reasons for this, the number one reason being that our diets are dominated by fat. The typical Western diet includes 30%+ calories from fat each and everyday. Fat can have a huge impact on our health and well being and is a particular issue when it comes to Candida.

Candida is an organism that naturally occurs in the body and is actually a life-saving mechanism. When blood sugars get high, Candida eats the sugar in order to bring levels down, however multiples as a result. Once the sugar level has come back down to normal then Candida’s numbers decrease. This is natural and perfectly normal so nothing to worry about as it is in all of us. Candida, however, becomes an issue when sugar levels continue to stay chronically high and Candida is continuously called upon.

When do sugar levels stay chronically high? Well when we eat a high fat diet we make an issue for our blood sugar and body. Fat is very hard for the body to digest and can stay in a blood for a long time (24 hours or so). When we then eat sugary foods after eating lots of fatty foods, this sugar passes into our blood but cannot transport out to cells because the fat prevents it from doing so. When this happens the Candida organism has to help bring down sugar levels by eating and thus multiplying. When this has to happen all the time it causes a yeast infection and is the reason why many people feel very run down and miserable. All that sugar, instead of going to your cells to nourish them is being chomped on by that organism, of course to help bring your sugar levels down, but still you are losing out.

In terms of pregnancy, it might be that you end up eating more food and more fatty foods as your appetite gets bigger and you start putting on weight. Or you may find yourself drawn to more sugary refined foods, which added to an already too much fat diet, can have disastrous effects. Overcoming the yeast infection then becomes simply a matter of being aware of what you are eating and doesn’t require medication.

Choosing holistic approaches to this type of problem will not only cure the underlying cause of it but also prevent it coming back. Even if you aren’t pregnant, medication and lotions only result in treating symptoms and most women who use this method end up with a recurring yeast problem. If you do decide to go with medications for relief (and can get some prescribed by a Doctor that are safe for pregnancy) it is important to treat this as only one aspect of overcoming the problem. Dietary changes also need to be considered for the sake of your health and to prevent further issues.

You may be quite hesitant to change your diet alone, but if this is the case there are plenty of dietary programs available that will give you a step by step plan to overcome this issue for good and stop your yeast infection in pregnancy for good.

When you read articles or information on vaginal yeast infections, do they really give you a proper explanation of the cause of the yeast infection?

From what I have seen available, most give you ways to prevent it that just seem a little ridiculous to me. Wear cotton underwear and avoid tight clothing but how does that prevent a yeast infection? A yeast infection to me signals that there is something going on with my body. If I was perfectly healthy, regardless of whether I wore cotton panties or tight clothing, I would not get a yeast infection.

It is best to think in these terms. Disease is not something you get – you get ill because you aren’t healthy in the first place. A healthy body does not get ill. If you eat a nutritionally balanced diet, exercise, are stress-free and give time to be creative and get enough sun and fresh air, then the likelihood of illness is zero. Healthy people don’t get ill!

So what does this have to do with yeast infection causes? Well most treatments offer you a way to get relief from symptoms and to get rid of symptoms but the cause wouldn’t have been solved. This is why so many people who choose to get this type of treatment get recurring yeast infections and deal with them more often than not.

So what causes vaginal yeast infection? Well one of the main causes of yeast infections comes down to diet. Candida issues have become an increasing problem in the Western world where we eat a high fat diet. Eating a lot of fat everyday can lead to Candida issues, but the advice is normally given to avoid sugars because sugar apparently is the culprit. It isn’t though – it is only in relation to too much fat that sugar becomes an issue.

Fat causes an issue because fat is hard for the body to digest. It can take 24 hours for fat to be properly digested and while it is digesting it stays in the blood. When you eat anything sugar related, it usually is digested very quickly. Fruit is one of the easiest to digest foods on the planet but when you have fat in your blood it prevents that sugar from being transported to cells to nourish them. It stays in the blood and causes your blood sugar level to be dangerously high. The only way to resolve the sugar issue is Candida. Candida is a natural organism that lives in you and it is specifically helpful in situations like this one. However the more it feeds the more it grows. This is perfectly normal and brings your sugar levels down to a safe level. Unfortunately if your diet is always high in fat this will always be an issue (and thus the reason why many tell you to avoid sugar instead of cutting your fat intake down).

When we switch to a low fat diet (because ultimately some fat is needed in your diet) we can then start eating sugary foods like fruit without any issue. This way we can overcome yeast problems especially recurring by simply changing our dietary habits. That is all that is really needed.

Of course in the meantime you may want to choose an available treatment just so you can have relief from the symptoms of your vaginal yeast infection but don’t be fooled into believing that those treatments have cured you – if they had the problem wouldn’t keep coming back.

The male yeast infection is often overlooked when one talks about yeast infections.

Most guidance is catered towards females but penis yeast infections do happen and are just as serious. This article explains the causes, symptoms and natural treatments available for the male yeast infection.

The male yeast infection is something that often isn’t discovered and many men go through their entire life without ever knowing they have a yeast problem. This is because it can be extremely difficult to detect and a man will not become aware that there is a Candida problem until it affects other problems of with their health and well being.
The most common scenario for a penis yeast infection is that a man will be informed by their partner that they have a yeast problem and that they should get checked out too or take anti-fungal medication to be safe. Most men are recommended to take the medication because otherwise the infection is often likely to be transferred back to the women who then will have a recurring yeast infection.

The problem with contracting a vaginal yeast infection is that the male urethra is very exposed during sex. The yeast problem can travel up the urethral canal and make home in the prostate. Prostate cancer and prostate problems have been on the rise over recent years and many men suffer from them in later life. Untreated/undetected yeast infections could be a contributory factor to this.

In some cases, if you are lucky, a male yeast infection can be noticed. This is usually by dry cracked skin on the penis. When the man has an erection the cracked skin can be extremely painful.

Male Yeast Infection: How Do You Get It

Well one way, as mentioned above, is through sex. Other causes include alcohol, wheat products, peanuts, barley, antibiotics, too much fat in the diet and a weakened immune system.

Generally a diet high in fat will cause Candida overgrowth. For more of an explanation to this click here and scroll half way down. One of the first things you should do if you suspect a male yeast infection is to cut down the fat in your diet.

Male Yeast Infection Symptoms

The most common symptoms for men and boys when it comes to yeast are digestive problems. Males usually experience constipation, bad breath, indigestion, bloating, sexual dysfunction, irritability, mood swings, lack of energy, frequent diarrhoea, jock itch, dry flaky skin, prostate problems.

If you suspect you have a male yeast infection, please get checked by your Doctor.

Yeast infection remedies are talked about everywhere but what actually works? This article goes over a simple home remedy for yeast infection that works. It gives you the cause to the problem and the solution: simple as.

When we think we have a yeast infection or are 99% sure we do, we can start to feel a little uncomfortable at the prospect of going to the Doctors because we feel embarrassed and almost ashamed.  Yeast infections are not comfortable, feel disgusting and make us feel like we need a good scrubbing!  Luckily though there are infethings you can do to remedy the problem without having to go to a Doctor.

Unfortunately though finding a remedy that actually resolves the issue can be difficult when a lot of information available gives out bad advice and rehashed old wive’s tales.  Information focuses on overcoming symptoms solely but doesn’t give much consideration to the underlying problem.  This leaves you vulnerable to a re-infection or recurring problem.

One piece of advice I have seen often is to cut down on our fruit intake.  This WILL relieve symptoms but fruit (or rather sugar) is not the cause of the infection.  Sugar only causes a problem as a result of too much fat in the diet on a regular basis.  Below is an explanation of how fat does this.

Candida is an organism that naturally occurs in all of us.  Candida can be considered a life0saving organism.  When eat a lots of fat, it can take a long time (up to 48 hours) for it to digest.  Fat is extremely hard for the body to digest so needs time.  It is why if you are not used to fatty foods all the time, after eating a high fat meal you can start to feel extremely sluggish and tired.  As a result it sits in the blood for a long time.  When we eat something sugary it also does into the bloodstream and tries to become digested and passed into our cells.  Sugar is very easily and quickly digested but because there is fat in the blood, it gets stuck in there too.  The fat prevents it from passing into the cells and nourishing them.  As a result you end up with a high blood sugar level and this is dangerous.  It is at this point the Candida comes into play and eats the sugar (multiplying), bringing your sugar levels down to a safe level.  This is perfectly natural but if we have a high fat diet everyday then it becomes unnatural and you will have continuously high levels of Candida and thus a yeast infection occurs.

The easiest way to resolve your yeast problem then, is to cut down fat in your diet.  This will take some time but will “cure” you.  You can take medication or lotions alongside this to help relieve your from the symptoms of yeast almost immediately but when it comes to yeast infection remedies, nothing beats losing the fat.

Disease and conditions have becoming increasingly common in the Western world over the past few decades. Many people find that they suffer from yeast infections or other issues similar and on a recurring basis and this can cause distress and annoyance. These conditions are no comfortable. This article goes over what a yeast infection is, what vulvitis is – common problems of the Western world.

Yeast is an organism that is naturally found in the body. It is scientifically referred to as Candida and is a life saving organism. When you have a high blood sugar level that won’t go down, it is the Candida organism that brings your sugar level down to a safe level. This is perfectly natural in most cases. When you constantly have a high blood sugar level that needs to be resolved constantly by Candida, then this usually results in a yeast infection as Candida overgrows from having to deal with so much sugar constantly.

A yeast infection comes under the infection vaginitis. Vaginitis is an inflammation of the vagina and the more common form is a vaginal yeast infection. Up to 75% of women or more suffer from some form of vaginitis in their life and it can be causes by a number of different things.

Vulvitis is another female problem that is an inflammation of the external genital organs i.e. the vulva. The vulva includes the clitoris, labia and the entrance to the vagina. This can be caused by a number of different infections just like vulvitis is. The vulva is often inflamed when one has a yeast infection of vaginitis so this type of problem can also be referred to as vulvovaginitis.

These types of conditions are not considered sexually transmitted infections because often women experience them without any sexual activity whatsoever. There are many causes to them, but generally if you have a yeast problem it could potentially be a result of your diet. If you have a high fat diet then try going on a low fat diet to see how this affects it and you issue.

If you are unsure about what you may have but know something is wrong, make sure you see a Doctor. There are over the counter prescriptions for these issues but it is worth seeking medical advice if you have never experienced one before and are not 100% sure that it is what you have.

So many women suffer from female yeast infections and when you have one, you usually get another and another. However, despite the guidance given, many if any at all, struggle to overcome their yeast infection for good.

Female yeast infections leave you feeling tired and rundown, they make you feel uncomfortable and are embarrassing, yet a LOT of people suffer from them.

Now you aren’t getting them because you aren’t wearing cotton underwear and you aren’t getting them because you eat too much sugar. Avoiding sugar may help to alleviate symptoms, but cotton underwear will do nothing for you.

The real reason for your recurring yeast problems is that you are eating a high fat diet. Most Westerners do. It is common to be overweight, it is common to down grease-laden foods and it is normal to use fat on even healthy food we eat like salads. Fat is addictive. It numbs us from emotions we would rather not feel and it is the cause of your yeast infection.

Now fat does this because it is very hard for your body to digest. As a result of this it remains in the blood for a long period of time and acts like an oil slick. Anything else that enters can’t move out and safely to your cells until the fat is digested. This means that after a fatty meal, if you eat anything sugary (which we often do in the form of dessert and which is usually fatty too!) it will get stuck in the blood. This creates a dangerous situation for you. You get a high blood sugar level. Your body deals with this with Candida microbes. These naturally live in your blood and when your blood sugar gets high, as in this situation, the microbes eat the sugar to bring your levels down to a safe level. The more sugar, the more they multiple.

This is perfectly natural and normal but in this situation it is because of too much fat. If you are constantly on a high fat diet, you can either cut out sugar and continue to feel tired or sluggish. Or cut out fat, resolve the underlying cause to your female yeast infections and get your energy and love for life back.

Yeast infections are uncomfortable and not nice things to have to deal with. Unfortunately for many a yeast infection can be a common occurrence as many in the Western world find themselves with a repeat problem.

Despite treatment for the infection and despite seeing their symptoms clear up completely, it doesn’t take long for them to get another outbreak of symptoms sending them straight back to the doctors.

The problem with yeast infection treatments is that they only treat symptoms. They are very good at getting rid of the horrible symptoms you get and making you feel like the problem is gone, but it usually isn’t. Unless you change your lifestyle the cause of the problem will still be there and you will have recurring issues.

Generally if you do get treatment from a doctor, you should try to see this as a help to relieve symptoms only and be prepared to make changes to your lifestyle in order to avoid a recurrence. Treatment is usually in the form of anti-fungal medications that are applied topically in and around the vagina. You can also get oral medications too and sometimes having both is the best option to relieve symptoms.

One of the biggest causes of this type of condition is diet. This isn’t surprising when the Western world has a terrible idea of a good idea. We live on high fat and high protein diets that have caused increasing disease over the years.

For many, it is the belief that sugar is the cause of yeast problems and that many people find that their symptoms are worse when they eat fruit or high sugar foods. Despite this, it isn’t the sugar causing your problems – it is the fat in your diet. Fat is hard for the body to digest and therefore it stays in your bloodstream for a quite awhile before it can be finally broken down by the body. While in the bloodstream and while it is still being digested it blocks other things from getting digested and moving through the bloodstream. Sugar is very easily digested and if nothing is its way it will digest quickly, pass through the bloodstream and be absorbed into cells for food. Unfortunately with fat in the way it stays in the bloodstream causing your blood sugar to rise. This is dangerous, but luckily our bodies have a way of dealing with it. It deals it with the life saving organism Candida. Candida eats the sugar and as it does so multiplies. Once the sugar has gone, the Candida decreases. This is natural, however if you have a diet high in fat you are constantly placing this burden on the body that not only drains for your energy but also causes the horrible symptoms you experience with a yeast infection as a result of an outbreak of Candida.

So overcoming dietary issues is a big factor in treatment and should be seriously taking into account if you are experiencing recurring issues.
